Donate Today to give Less Privileged Children the joy of Dreaming again
Join us in in our mission to reignite dreams!
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn! Planet of Hope works to give the less privileged children a quality education and a fair chance to pursue their dreams.
Millions of less privileged children are already out of school and another one million are expected to drop out due to the impact of the pandemic.
An estimated 617 million children and adolescents around the world are unable to reach minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics, even though two thirds of them are in school.
*The estimated statistics has been quoted by The World Bank in its report ‘Learning Losses in Pakistan due to COVID-19 school closures. UNICEF Education
Millions of children risk losing out on their Education
Schooling does not always lead to learning: Lack of Quality Education
A lack of trained teachers, inadequate learning materials, makeshift classes and poor sanitation facilities make learning difficult for many children. Others come to school too hungry, sick or exhausted from work or household tasks to benefit from their lessons.
Inequality between girls and boys: the education of girls in jeopardy
Gender-wise, boys outnumber girls at every stage of education. Socio-cultural demand-side barriers combined with economic factors and supply-related issues (such as availability of school facility), together hamper access and retention of certain marginalised groups, in particular adolescent girls.
Our Current Projects
Building a Computer Lab for Underprivileged Children
Access to technology to underprivileged children is limited in Pakistan, even though computer literacy is a required skill for economic development in this increasingly globalized world. Therefore, Planet of Hope has collaborated with Team Karachi and has been actively collecting funds in this regard. We hope that all of us can come together and make efforts for the innocent children who are equally talented and eager to acquire education.
Rooms/Halls Renovation at Al-Mohsin Orphanage for Tuition/Schooling Purposes
The halls are not in use currently because the ceilings and walls are weak and structurally cracked and damaged. Currently, children are tutored in one hall only which created a disturbance in education, therefore, there is an immediate need for renovation.
