Computer Science Lab: A pilot project in Karachi, Pakistan

Empowering Youth through Technology

Planet of Hope is building a fully equipped Computer Science Lab in a marginalized community in Pakistan to give youth the opportunity to learn 21st-century technical skills, connect with the world and make their dreams into reality. The lab is located in a small, impoverished neighbourhood in Korangi Area in Karachi.

Our goal is to raise $18000 CAD by the end of Ramadan. The computer Lab is set to launch after Eid-ul-Fitr. We have joined hands with Team Karachi Welfare society to do this project. Team Karachi has provided the facility and has been working on the renovation. We are currently working on setting up the Lab and its academics model.

The computer lab will be fully equipped with the following:

Air Conditioner
Comfortable Furniture
Electricity Backup
Printers
Multimedia Equipment
Academic facilities & Stationery

We believe that each child deserves a great education, an education that will be the difference between them and the rest of their life.

About Us

Planet of Hope (POH) is a non-profit initiative by Planet of IT (POIT), an IT consulting firm based in Canada. We aim to provide computer education via technology to unprivileged youth who are not fortunate enough to have access to computers or the internet or both. We want to ensure all these children get the necessary knowledge and education they need to get a head start in their professional careers with confidence.

Our goal is to work with local communities to establish computer labs and deploy technological infrastructure so that these children can get access to personal computers and connect to the world. Moreover, POH also administers the programs and courses offered in those facilities to ensure that these children are provided with a complete path from beginning to the end so that they can stand on their feet and start their professional journey.
