Empowering Youth through Technology

Our world is changing. To keep up, we need to make sure our youth is equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today’s workplace. We believe that our youth should have access to quality education, regardless of their background.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen a dramatic shift in how education is delivered. Today, it doesn’t need to be delivered through traditional methods; instead, it can be delivered through technology and the internet. By providing this type of education to unprivileged, we can give them a better chance at a successful career that will help them lift themselves out of poverty. That’s why Planet of Hope is building a platform that allows us to deliver educational content to unprivileged youth through technology.

ACTIVE PROJECT

Construction of a Computer Lab for underprivileged in Karachi

Planet of Hope is building a fully equipped Computer Science Lab in a marginalized community area in Pakistan to give youth the opportunity to learn 21st-century technical skills, connect with the world and make their dreams into reality. The lab is located in a small, impoverished neighbourhood in Korangi Area in Karachi.

Planet of Hope Org. is a non-profit initiative by Planet of IT, an IT consulting firm based in Canada. We aim to provide computer education via technology to unprivileged youth who are not fortunate enough to have access to computers or the internet or both. We want to ensure the youth get the necessary knowledge and education they need to get a head start in their professional careers with confidence.

Our goal is to work with local communities to establish computer labs and deploy technological infrastructure so that youth can get access to personal computers and connect to the world. Moreover, POH also administers the programs and courses offered in those facilities to ensure that these children are provided with a complete path from beginning to the end so that they can stand on their feet and start their professional journey.
